Pioneer Drying Rack (Large)

Bought this rack because we now have a lot of alpaca wool socks that need to air dry along with other items we already had. Took a while to put it together and I should have deeply preread the instructions to see the part about the pencil line on the dowels. I would have made sure they were facing in the proper orientation from the beginning and not needing the help of my husband and adult daughter to rotate them into alignment. In fact, one of them absolutely cannot be rotated so it does not have the screws in it. The dowel is so tight that I highly doubt there will be any issue with it coming out. I may do as one of the purchasers below did and get some longer chain to spread the arms out a little more. The linseed oil idea sounds good as long as it will not come off onto the clothes.

This rack is very sturdy with large dowels. It took me a bit to put together but I was able to do it myself. I read directions a few times so I had a visual and it went together smoothly. I can’t wait to use it outside and see how it handles a bit of wind. My old aluminum rack would blow over in the smallest breeze because it was top heavy. The proportions on this rack seem really balanced.

Bought this one to be a companion to my xl rack as my children are getting bigger so are their clothes ! I put linseed oil on it and its preserved the wood against damp and the wood decoloring from being in a humid climate inside for winter- wish i had done that with my xl one ..
I've had it for about 3 years now and its paid for itself in the first 3 months by saving us laundry money to dry in the dryer ! It's also better for the environment. I did replace the chain with a tad longer one from the hardware store so it can open up a bit more for larger items like pants dresses etc to get air flow and not touch our other items on the rack. Im half tempted to buy another but have no room !

I've had the Pioneer model for about 2 yrs. & absolutely LOVE it. They're the sturdiest racks made & fold up nicely, when not in use, which is hardly ever. Am seriously considering getting another as current one is in constant use. Highly recommend.

This was a birthday gift from a dear friend who knew I was planning on purchasing one. I LOVE this rack! It was easy to assemble and the instructions were easy to follow. It took me about 25 minutes but mainly because I am super cautious following directions and also my electric screw gun died the last few screws. It is very sturdy, high quality and compactly stores in my closet when I don't need it. I'll be paying it forward and purchase another one for my sister-in-law.
